I remember reading a story I believe from the Dalai Lama, or for sure some form of Buddhist philosophy.  It is a metaphor to describe the nature and process of exchange between persons. Gift, allows us to understand the simple action of giving, an individual sharing or exchanging behaviors, personalities, attitudes is the same as a gift. A person shows an intention to give me a gift. A gift has often a meaning, I don’t’ stand by that meaning, does anything good to me, and because of that I reject respectfully the gift. Again a person share some ideas, opinions, or behave in a certain way with me, due to the nature and process of the material, or gift, that I receive, I decide if accepting or rejecting that which is directed to me.
